Finally i had my first DJ gig under the name of DEEP ARCTIC and what a success, the music i play is deep electronic music, everything from dubstep via techno via electro to funky stuff. I try to give the people a musical experience with music that´s not commercial, one thing is for sure people gonna dance! Made that pretty clear the other day i had my gig.

Mephuser – Mercy Limit

Mephuser is an experimental electronic project based in berlin/germany. its sample-based music (layered composition) is influenced by low-hi electronics, sounds/textures, field recordings and psychedelics.

To describe this album, which took two years to create, seems to be impossible at all. Mephuser takes us on a tour through his world and beyond. He shows us the diversity of his stylistic ideas by letting them slip into this kaleidoscope of tracks. You won’t stay in one place for too long as Mephuser is always already round the next corner with something new for you. But this album is neither just a conglomeration nor the mere, cold proof of musical excellence: it is a composition like a day, a year or a life in 50 minutes.

Small Mammal

I get loads of music to my email adress some of it is not that good and some of it is good, Matt Terrell a.k.a Small Mammal  sent me some stuff the other day and made my day. He is originally from Brooklyn NY but relocated to Asheville North Carolina, his music is entirely instrumental consisting of drums, guitar, keys and warped field recordings.  This is too good to miss out!

Stereoshape – Hello City EP

I getting tears in my eyes, iD.EOLOGY is the best musiclabel out there, first off all just listen to the music they are releasing, pure quality!! Another epic thing is that all the music is for free, just click to their site and start downloading.

I just downloaded the EP “Hello City” from the german band Stereoshape, perfect catchy, funky, sexy, electropop tunes. Makes me wanna call a nice girl, spend her some expensive delicious cocktails and dance and make love the night away to these tunes !

Alexander Marcus

Alright im BACK!! First off as my comeback i give you my new favorite artist Felix Rennefeldt a.k.a Alexander Marcus, the video and song above is from his latest album “Mega” wich was released a couple of weeks ago, BANGER!!! He calls his style of music Electrolore wich is a mixup between electro and folklore, so give this man your biggest support and by the way i guess im going to Berlin 20 th of november for his liveshow!

Back from vacation!

Ohhh time is passing by pretty fast and i´m back to reality and also back to share some music in this blog, i´m soo full of new music in all forms and colours that you did not believe existed!

Also meet many new promising artist that i gonna love to introduce you all to. But first some of the dopest shit i´ve listen too in many years, Daniel Savio who also is the man behind a complete new genre that he calles Skwee and that is a musical style, with origin in Nordic countries Sweden and Finland.

 Skweee combines simple synth leads and basslines with funk, r’n'b or soul-like rhythms, overall rendering a stripped-down funky sound. The tracks are mostly entirely instrumental, though there are exceptions. The name refers to the use of vintage synthesizers in the production process, were the aim is to “squeeze out” as interesting sounds as possible. The video this song is also pretty fuckin´ KOOL!

Sound Riot – Brown Paper Bag (Roni Size Cover)

 

Ohhh YEASH, check this superslick cover version of the classic Roni Size track “Brown Paper Bag” from the album “New Forms” from 1997, the band doing the cover is called Sound Riot and is coming from the middle part of Sweden in the city of Östersund,  this lads are pretty stoked on just dnb music with some jazzy influenses.

Phour Trakk – Slip Into Something More Comfortable

When the god of small things and the Indian goddess of music get together, then Phour Trakk might be the cause. After his previous side trip to the roaring maze of western metropolises, he packs his bags again in order to leave eastbound while in his mind he has already arrived there. And it goes without saying that he has remembered to slip into clothes both typical for the country and comfortable.

Consequently, his fourth EP on iD.EOLOGY comes along in a guise just as colourful, elegant and rich in texture as a dhoti by Manish Malhotra. Hilarious Bollywood-style vocals meet earthy downbeats, eastern harmonies contrast smoky blue-notes and breezy tabla-rhythms blend with deep fretless basses heavy as lead. While the memories of the skyscrapers’ silhouettes slowly fade, all these details, all these small things coalesce to generate a wistful anticipation of a far-away culture.

Before fascination and rapture now make you light a candle and start making oblations to the gods, you might as well slip into something more comfortable and give this e.p. another thorough listen or two. After all, Phour Trakk has hidden quite a few more niceties for the attentive listener. Or was this, too, the god of small things in the end?
