Mephuser is an experimental electronic project based in berlin/germany. its sample-based music (layered composition) is influenced by low-hi electronics, sounds/textures, field recordings and psychedelics.

To describe this album, which took two years to create, seems to be impossible at all. Mephuser takes us on a tour through his world and beyond. He shows us the diversity of his stylistic ideas by letting them slip into this kaleidoscope of tracks. You won’t stay in one place for too long as Mephuser is always already round the next corner with something new for you. But this album is neither just a conglomeration nor the mere, cold proof of musical excellence: it is a composition like a day, a year or a life in 50 minutes.

time

Ohhh time is passing by pretty fast and i´m back to reality and also back to share some music in this blog, i´m soo full of new music in all forms and colours that you did not believe existed!

Also meet many new promising artist that i gonna love to introduce you all to. But first some of the dopest shit i´ve listen too in many years, Daniel Savio who also is the man behind a complete new genre that he calles Skwee and that is a musical style, with origin in Nordic countries Sweden and Finland.

Skweee combines simple synth leads and basslines with funk, r’n'b or soul-like rhythms, overall rendering a stripped-down funky sound. The tracks are mostly entirely instrumental, though there are exceptions. The name refers to the use of vintage synthesizers in the production process, were the aim is to “squeeze out” as interesting sounds as possible. The video this song is also pretty fuckin´ KOOL!

Ohhh YEASH, check this superslick cover version of the classic Roni Size track “Brown Paper Bag” from the album “New Forms” from 1997, the band doing the cover is called Sound Riot and is coming from the middle part of Sweden in the city of Östersund,  this lads are pretty stoked on just dnb music with some jazzy influenses.

Heads from the US, Germany, Russia, UK and many other countries are with us. Let´s go ambient and who´s up for that if not This Noise Between Us,  this Toronto Canada based ambient /experimental music project is masterminded by EK Poll. The debut album “500 Experiences” was released in 2008 independently and for free on the Internet. The latest album “Death by Misadventure” was also released for free March 01 2009.

The particular genre of music is difficult to accurately classify as it suggests many different forms of electronic music without subscribing to a specific style. Genres range from ambient to chillout and even some shoegazer. At any rate, This Noise Between Us will take you on a journey deep in the cerebral cortex.

All tracks are DRM-Free and are usually available in 192k and 320k mp3 formats. This Noise Between Us is commited to continue to release their music for free.

So PLEASE go and get some of this wonderful music HERE!

First of all sorry for the lack of posts, been on a short vaccation! So let me make up for this and give you some untouchable tunes.

Jedi Knights and Global Communication’s Mark Pritchard returns to Warp Records to release his debut album “When Machines Exeed Human Intelligence” under the guise of Harmonic 313. Not to be confused with his hip- hop inspired library music compositions with Dave Brinkworth as Harmonic 33, Pritchard has created his own vision of the future of electronica, taking influence from the dubstep scene mixed up with robotic sounds, spacebeats and deep and sometimes dark approach.

A mix of electro beats, harsh distorted basslines, atmospheric washes and Detroit like stabs, the album cements Pritchard’s position as one of the UK’s most diverse and eclectic electronic producers.

Please check out Harmonic 313´s website it´s pretty rad!

Hauschka

2009/02/18

hauschkaHauschka, the alias of Volker Bertelmann, is based in Düsseldorf, his fourth full length album is called “Ferndorf”. This pianist and composer explores every chamber instrument in its full capacity. On Ferndorf (translating into ‘remote village’ from German), Hauschka brings in two cellists, violinist and even a trombone player to construct modern classical pieces that are pleasant on the ear and the soul.

Five out of twelve tracks appear to be “purely improvised”, yet elicit strong musicianship from the participating players. Alluding to his birthplace in rural Germany, the trip along the memory lane, is an upbeat skip and hop. Here, Bertelmann revisits his childhood influences contributing to his decade long affair with the piano. Where most major-chord filled pieces usually fill me with a post-neo-classical dread of scale walking, Hauschka keeps restraint and tends to concentrate on execution and message of each individual piece. Of course, no such trip ever occurs without a touch of melancholy. Please check out Fat Cat Records where Bertelmann releases his music on, so much interesting music on that label.

Hauschka – Schönes Mädchen from the album “Ferndorf”

Hauschka – Heimat from the album “Ferndorf”

Hauschka – Nadelwald from the album “Ferndorf”

Hauschka – Neuschnee from the album “Ferndorf”
