La Fleur
2009/03/31

Ohh La Fleur from the swedish duo Housewives sent me her latest mix called “Power Plant Mix” the other day. Sheʼs the pharmacist that turned into a DJ, the dancer that turned into a dance maker. La Fleur is maximal and minimal. Blessed with a unique presence and eclectic selection, she seduces any crowd into musical bliss. She likes her music intense & melodious. Forget any myths about Swedes being chilled; this lady has an arsenal of musical weapons that can whip any dance floor into a state of arousal.
This is all about good dance music, so stay up late and inhale !
Anders Ilar
2009/02/06

Ohh YEESS the man of the hour Anders Ilar has given us listeners a free MP3 album called “Twillight Rainfalls”, goddamn its good!
Tracklist:
1. Morning Dew
2. Playing With The Winds
3. Rain In All Familiar Places
4. Lowbeam
5. Magnetic Love Reversal
6. Althea
7. Ghostwaltz On The Third Floor
8. In Light We Trust
9. Crystal Alignment
“…Released on 23rd of December 2008 to celebrate the new solar year. The 8 new tracks on Twilight Rainfalls are based upon a meditative piano session recorded on October 19th 2008 in Ludvika. The recordings was later cut into parts and used as sourcematerial for the tracks. The initial idea was to make a very quiet ambient album with only some 808 rhythms to compliment the piano, however after the first track was finished (in light we trust) I realized that this would not be the case. The rest of the tracks was put together in the following weeks. The 9th track (althea) was produced some years ago using the sound of the very same piano.
As times are becoming rougher for many labels and distroes I realized it would be a long time waiting for a CD or vinyl deal for this material. And with things being as they are I believe the best way to spread these vibrations is in free digital format.
So realizing this work might dissapoint a few of my listeners, atleast now you know the story behind the music and its intention is simply to be what it is (music), while hopefully inspire the listener to raise the frequency of love on this planet…”
Love and Light!

Adam Shaw
2009/01/27

Adam Shaw is one of the brightest stars to emerge on the UK tech house/techno scene in the last 12 months, not many djs can trace their roots back to the tender age of 14 and watching their older sister wowing the crowds on the underground house scene, but this is exactly where hot new techno star Adam Shaw first felt the bug that would transform his life. Signed to Toolroom Records and with one release on Deadmau5´s recordlabel Mau5trap this kid is gonna ripp dancefloors apart in the future!

Pawas
2009/01/21

I guess deephouse music is the SHEIT nowadays, so much good stuff coming out that pipeline, talented artists within this genre are finally getting the credit and acclaim they deserve, non more-so than Pawas Gupta. Born and raised to a classical musician in India, Pawas was always destined for a career in music. From initially playing the ”tabla” (Indian drums) alongside his father in concerts, Pawas’ musical progress was evident almost instantly as he quickly taught himself to play numerous other instruments including percussion, bass guitar and keyboards, at age 17 he found electronic music. He then moved to the mekka of deep electronic music Germany with sucess, today he is DJing and producing music worldwide with his base in the wonderful city of Köln! He is signed to Night Drive Music.
I would describe his latest EP “Music For Lazy People” something like moody, deep, dreamy, calming, gourgeus, well produced, jazzy with cool basslines and sometimes techy.
Pawas feat. Matthias Keul - Piano Rain from the EP “Music For Lazy People”
Pawas – Niceness from the EP “Music For Lazy People”
Pawas – Deep Fruit from the EP “Music For Lazy People”

” The label music policy is non-commercial house music in all forms. Our mission is to promote elite musical culture, avoiding bringing it to the mainstream. Our path in music is in perceiving, extracting and conservation of the deep and natural sound of music. Not being framed by style definitions we create in space from deep to electro, from disco to techno”.

2562
2009/01/11

Ohh let me introduce you to Dave Huismans a.k.a 2562 from Holland, his music is fanatically detailed, employing minimal elements for a resoundingly maximalist agenda; micro-edited clusters of conga, snare and snap-clap do the lion’s share of the work, but it’s Dave Huisman’s spatial sense which lends the music its special quality – he knows when to build up a juddering Jenga tower of drum sounds and he knows when to strip everything back to a slick, elegantly curved 4×4 pulse. In short, he keeps things interesting, deploying all the rhythmic tics and tricks of 2-step, techno and dub to produce a heavy but peculiarly weightless, streamlined kind of dance music.

2562 – Movern from the album “Aerial”
2562 – Basin Dub from the album “Aerial”

Forteba
2009/01/08
Let me take you to the eastern Europe and to the hungarian city of Vac where we find Krisztian Dobrocsi a.k.a Forteba who started producing electronic music in all colours and shapes at eighteen years of age, but he soon found his passion in straight rhythms and arrangements inspired by German deep-house/techno stuff. Today he´s signed to the ever so reliable German label Plastic City, he’s instantly diving into the emotional world of the listener and captivates his audience with always warm, dreamy, diversified and excellent tracks.
