Tropic Netlabel

2013/05/20

I love netlabels and there is a vast variety of them. One of them is called TROPIC NETLABEL and is from Frankfurt/Germany and is releasing all music for free with the philosophy:

“to give a talented variety of artists a home for their music and bulit up a worldwide collective based on fine electronic music. Tropic is non commercial, open minded and colorful. No matter if its House, Electronica, Ambient or Techno, it has to be special with a warm feeling”

“We lost a lot of good netlabels the last years because the digital market is growing so much, but what about selling a few copies that nobody realizes indeed of reaching thousands with a netlabel and get love from all over the world. In these days of capitalism, promotion and marketing strategies, we are a embassy of  community based and noncommercial music. Enjoy the music as always 🙂 spread love!”

Tropics latest release “5 Years Of Tropic Netlabel” is mixed with basic channel style chords, ambient soundscapes and deep basslines that is the perfect combination for every dubtechno lover.

Emmerichk

2011/08/22

Emmerichk’s music is a wilful mix of sound carpets, clicks-and-cuts and
rhythmical micro-structures. Known in the netaudio scene for his great releases
on Yuki Yaki or Impar. His latest EP released on the netlabel Tropic is called Periodic
waveforms is a journey into time & space with a special atmosphere based on
emotional pads, bleeps, cracks and sound snippets.

Perfection!

2010/10/15

This is for me absolute perfection, Axel Boman hailing from Sweden with this killertrack “Purple Drank”. Big ups to Pampa Records who delivers so much good music.

Phasen!

2010/08/07

So let me introduce you to Phasen, this young dude Ryan Parmer from Florida who has come a long way in the scene producing electronica only four years. Phasen has released on labels alongside acts such as Kettel, Funckarma, Lusine, and other notables and has worked on remix projects along with artists from Warp, Merck, Ghostly, Rephlex, Echochord and Planet Mu.

The release “Well Chuffed” he released on the netlabel I / O and is a dreamy electronic melancholic downtempo thing, you get the album HERE! . Here a track i found on the tube wich is little more techy!

Kosmonaut!

2010/08/06

Another supergood release from my favorite netlabel iD.EOLOGY! This is Kosmonaut a deep space, drum n bass, dubstep thing called Photon!

” Just as one thing can be viewed entirely different in different light, depending on how you view it light itself can appear as entirely different things – as wave or as particle. The photons which light consists of are neither the one thing nor the other, and yet they’re both at the same time.

On his superluminal trips through the electromusical universe Kosmonaut had plenty of opportunities to delve deeply into the nature of light, and enough inspiration to record his findings in the universal language of music. On long-wave basses he drags us down into the hypnotic maelstrom of a black hole of infinitely compressed dubstep, lets perishing melodical fragments flash up one last time before the energetic darkness swallows them entirely. What started out as drum’n’bass from another world, bursts into a supernova of brilliantly variegated tone colours, emits shockwaves of pulsating beats and blows a harmonic particle-storm through our gray cells.

Purists may now wonder whether Kosmonaut is about dubstep or about drum’n’bass. Much in the vain of the wave-particle-dualism he is neither about the one thing nor about the other, and yet he’s about both at the same time. In the end, though, much like the photon itself, Kosmonaut really is about one thing: energy “

iamamiwhoami!

2010/08/06

Finally i got my motivation back to spread uncommercial music to people, got no visitors left but i if you read this, this is for you!

I start out with this mysterious artist called “iamamiwhoami”, its a big topic out there and everybody wonders who is behind, perhaps its revealed. Last thing i heard was that it is the swedish singer “Jonna Lee”.

Anyhow they feature synthy, atmospheric pop music, with breathy, effected, and unintelligible female vocals. They’re also remarkably well produced, suggesting that whoever is behind this knows what they’re doing and has a little money to work with.

A big must is checking their Youtube Channel where all the super weird videos and songs are uploaded.

Here is my favorite song:

DEEP ARCTIC

2009/12/15

Finally i had my first DJ gig under the name of DEEP ARCTIC and what a success, the music i play is deep electronic music, everything from dubstep via techno via electro to funky stuff. I try to give the people a musical experience with music that´s not commercial, one thing is for sure people gonna dance! Made that pretty clear the other day i had my gig.
