Tropic Netlabel

I love netlabels and there is a vast variety of them. One of them is called TROPIC NETLABEL and is from Frankfurt/Germany and is releasing all music for free with the philosophy:

“to give a talented variety of artists a home for their music and bulit up a worldwide collective based on fine electronic music. Tropic is non commercial, open minded and colorful. No matter if its House, Electronica, Ambient or Techno, it has to be special with a warm feeling”

“We lost a lot of good netlabels the last years because the digital market is growing so much, but what about selling a few copies that nobody realizes indeed of reaching thousands with a netlabel and get love from all over the world. In these days of capitalism, promotion and marketing strategies, we are a embassy of  community based and noncommercial music. Enjoy the music as always 🙂 spread love!”

Tropics latest release “5 Years Of Tropic Netlabel” is mixed with basic channel style chords, ambient soundscapes and deep basslines that is the perfect combination for every dubtechno lover.

I have made a new mixtape called “Ad Astra Per Aspera”. Click HERE to listen. It´s a gloomy drone/acidjazz story with lots of different horns. Hopefully you enjoy it.

From the cold north and celebrating the founding of the label Mindblast Records DJ Scheißefritz’s debut album Raumfahrer is the first release. Inspired by Arpanet this feels like a wannabe soundtrack for 2001: A Space Odyssey. Retro-futurism at it’s best.

DEEP ARCTIC

2009/12/15

Finally i had my first DJ gig under the name of DEEP ARCTIC and what a success, the music i play is deep electronic music, everything from dubstep via techno via electro to funky stuff. I try to give the people a musical experience with music that´s not commercial, one thing is for sure people gonna dance! Made that pretty clear the other day i had my gig.

Mephuser is an experimental electronic project based in berlin/germany. its sample-based music (layered composition) is influenced by low-hi electronics, sounds/textures, field recordings and psychedelics.

To describe this album, which took two years to create, seems to be impossible at all. Mephuser takes us on a tour through his world and beyond. He shows us the diversity of his stylistic ideas by letting them slip into this kaleidoscope of tracks. You won’t stay in one place for too long as Mephuser is always already round the next corner with something new for you. But this album is neither just a conglomeration nor the mere, cold proof of musical excellence: it is a composition like a day, a year or a life in 50 minutes.

Back from vacation!

2009/07/28

time

Ohhh time is passing by pretty fast and i´m back to reality and also back to share some music in this blog, i´m soo full of new music in all forms and colours that you did not believe existed!

Also meet many new promising artist that i gonna love to introduce you all to. But first some of the dopest shit i´ve listen too in many years, Daniel Savio who also is the man behind a complete new genre that he calles Skwee and that is a musical style, with origin in Nordic countries Sweden and Finland.

Skweee combines simple synth leads and basslines with funk, r’n’b or soul-like rhythms, overall rendering a stripped-down funky sound. The tracks are mostly entirely instrumental, though there are exceptions. The name refers to the use of vintage synthesizers in the production process, were the aim is to “squeeze out” as interesting sounds as possible. The video this song is also pretty fuckin´ KOOL!

Ohhh YEASH, check this superslick cover version of the classic Roni Size track “Brown Paper Bag” from the album “New Forms” from 1997, the band doing the cover is called Sound Riot and is coming from the middle part of Sweden in the city of Östersund,  this lads are pretty stoked on just dnb music with some jazzy influenses.

Error Broadcast

error broadcast

Please let me introduce you all to Error Broadcast wich is is a record- and a netlabel who releases all their music in reasonable quality for free or purchase uncompressed audio and to make you kids remember what it was like back in the days, every release is accompanied by a limited edition of vinyl 7″s with password to download exclusive tracks and remixes.

Error Broadcast refers to Chuck D´s idea of Rap as an alternative social organ. The term works as a tribute to traditional Golden Age Hip Hop the same as it underlines the collective’s self-perception as “independent”.

The latest release is called “Bag Of Nothingness” wich is a compilation that features 17 fresh new artists , each of them delivering their respective style of unique experimental Hip Hop. Heads from the US, Germany, Russia, UK and many other countries are with us. From “Bag of Nothingness” you can guess what the brand Error Broadcast will represent in the future: undogmatic Hip Hop joints, equally influenced from contemporary abstract electronic (dance-) music, DIY culture and digital turntablism, you know this is one of those albums where all tracks are good. BIG UPS I LOVE THIS!!!
